Golden Half

9 Jul

I have been thinking lately, of buying myself a Golden Half.

It has been a while that I’ve had a new toy and this one had really caught my eye even before. I first saw it in Oh Shoot! when I bought my Holga back in 2009.

Aside from the Lomo LC-A+, and the Horizon Perfekt Pano Camera, which are out of my league right now, I think this is the next best thing.

I’ve been going through some reviews for this precious and would just want to share with you why it’s worth having.

The Golden Half is a 35mm half-format plastic camera which takes 18x24mm pictures (that’s two in the space of a “normal” 24x36mm negative). Imagine your film roll DOUBLED! Cool huh?! By the way, it’s minimum focusing distance is 1.5 meters (60 inches) so don’t go too close to your subject else your shot would be out of focus. It’s Focal Length: f=22mm and Aperture: f.8~f11.

Here are some sample shots.

“Don’t think, just shoot!”

That’s it for now. Ciao!
